so much to say, and not much time to say it in!

Our computer crashed and because we are trying to only pay cash for everything, it will be a while before we can get another. But one of Andrew's friends may be able to fix it. We will see.

Noah started first grade and loves it. So far! This is only the second week so I hope he contines to love it. He loves to learn!

The truck is fixable, but that has been another headache! They have already had it almost a month and we got a call Monday that they have not even started on it yet! But the rental that Andrew has gets great gas mileage and has satelite radio which he loves!

Well, thats about all I have time for today!

So you know how life is just going along, one day seems like the day before and you don't even know what day of the week it is?

Yeah, such as my life has been lately.

But, just to keep us on our toes, school starts in 3 weeks! Where did the summer go? Oh yeah, the days just blended into to each other and all of the sudden, it's gone!

And then Sunday this happened:

Noah had spent the night with my parents and went to church with them. Andrew picked him up on his way home from work and stopped to get a few things from Walmart. Someone pulled out in front of them. We are blessed that no was hurt. I don't know how much more that truck can take!

I got woke up early this morning...

I started to complain and whine because my husband needed his clothes for work put in the dryer. I fell asleep last night with them still in the washer. I spent all day yesterday cleaning and rearranging our living room to get rid of an old entertainment center that I had seen it's better day. We didn't buy another one, just decided to put the tv on top of the fire place. Andrew had suggested that when we moved in, but I thought it was tacky. But now that it is up there, I like it. Like it a lot! Hate to admit when the hubster was right. Oh well, only took me 9 years!

Any way, I wanted to whine, and complain, but looking next to me and seeing my sweet, what he's 3!!?, middle child laying there...looking so sweet and innocent. I couldn't. I got up, put the clothes in the dryer and came back and stared at his beautiful face and reminded myself how blessed I truly am!

So as the mother of 3 young children I know that quiet means some things up!

Noah had spent the night with his grandma, and the little ones were playing together nicely in their room. I figured I could go use the bathroom real quick! I should have know better.

And then it got awfully quiet!

Getting a little serious...

So...

I'm getting serious here.

I feel so far from where I thought I would be at this time in my life. I am in my 30's, married, have 3 kids. And I love that part of life. But, we are all living in the same 2 bedroom townhouse Andrew and I bought when we first got married. We still sometimes live paycheck to paycheck. We can't buy anything...1 because we refuse to go into debt to buy something we don't really need and can't pay for in cash, and 2 the bankruptcy keeps us from moving right now.

We don't have a HD tv, we don't have a laptop, we don't have the newest and greatest things out there. We don't NEED them, but they sure would be nice. I have to remind myself all the time why we are in the sorry boat that we are, and never want to be there again! Bankruptcy sucks, and anyone who thinks it is the easy way out is fooling themselves. It hurts!

We need a bigger home. With a bigger yard for my kids to run in. I just get sick looking at houses that are bigger that we can afford and have about the same payment we are paying for this house. And they are bigger and have a bigger yard. And a few of them even have a POOL! Andrew and I both want a pool, and are probably not going to move until we find a house that we like with one!

We have SO much work to do to get this house ready to sell. I don't think we have a problem selling it. It is very close to a military base and has a great school system. I would live here forever (I love the location), but we have outgrown the house. I think it's great that the kids share a room, but they are different sexes and before long that will come into play. I think they need more privacy (from each other, not the parentals!) and a place to get away from each other! It is hard to do here!

So, according to our time line we should be able to start looking for a new place next October. About a year and a half. I think I can wait! I have been doing it this long, shouldn't be hard. I just get discouraged sometimes!

I also feel so far from God. I don't go to church like I should. I am torn between some things that I won't write about right now, but it is hard when you marry into a different denomination. I personally don't like the whole denominations of Christianity. I have questions and my husband does too, so its hard! To me a Christian is a Christian and it shouldn't matter, but...anyway, enough on that!

Ok, that's enough venting for today! Noah is at Pa and Ma's and the little's are napping. I think I will go read a little in my Bible and then get back to organizing/purging of toys! That is what I was doing before lunch!

Why do boys fight? Or is it just a brother thing?

My boys fight ALL.THE.TIME!

It drives me crazy. It makes me yell...a lot. And I really hate yelling at them.I don't want to be remembered as the mom that yelled all the time!

In the rare moments they are getting along I try to make a big deal out it.

I try to talk to them and let them know that God gave them a brother, because he knows they will need each other. That they have a build in friend at all times.

It doesn't last long though!

Maybe it is the brotherly love...or something like that!

These days...

These days are hard.

These days are full of things that need to get done...that don't get done!

These days are full of whining, crying, tantrums, pooping, snotty noses, and tears!

These days are full of some sleepless nights, no nap days, and being cranky because of it. And not just me!

But these days are full of kisses I don't deserve, hugs from no where, and I love you Mommy!

And these days, hard as they are, will come and go....

And I will miss them.

Ever wanted to get away? I do...right now! I wish I was at the beach, but don't know if it will be in the budget this year...depends how much of a bonus Andrew's gets!

I love Chik-fil-A. Probably a little too much! I ate there at least twice this week....

We have been busy with VBS this week. So I haven't cooked this week. We haven't really ate out either.(other than Chik-fil-A) The church fed us.

Glad to have NOTHING to do next week. We will try to organize some. We have too many clothes and too much stuff. Maybe we will have a yard sale.....?

Armed Forces Day

The last few years our local town does a big event for Armed Forces Day. It is a great family time!

This year we decided to go for downtown for the fireworks over the river. It was great. We got there about 8pm walked about a half mile, sat down, and ate some sandwiches!

About 9:15 the fireworks started! The kids loved it! Well, Abbi cried when it first started, but got fine when Andrew picked her up and held her the rest of the time!

We look forward to this each year now!

Our Major League Outing

Noah got 2 tickets to see the Atlanta Braves for having good grades/attendance at school this year.

We sent in the form to go to a Sunday game. We also got a discount on any other tickets we bought. We bought 2 more thinking Jonah could go with us...what were we thinking! We were surprised to get tickets so quick! I asked Noah who he would like to take and he said Pa. We got up early last Sunday morning and drove to Atlanta.

It was a great game! The Braves won 13-2 I think was the final score! They have been on a hot steak since!

The best part about the day was how excited Noah was! He loves baseball and this was a treat for him!

T-ball season is over

Noah played in an instructional league this year. This fall he will play real t-ball!

Sadly for us, and more so for him, his season is over! They only played 6 games and one of those got rained out. He LOVES to play ball. We can't wait for fall!

We had a BIG weekend!

I will post about a couple of the things we did soon....

It's the last week of school! I can't believe I will be the parent of a first grader! My baby is growing so fast!

We are going to a cook-out for Noah's class on Friday. We were so blessed that he had a great teacher this year. They had a great year. She made a DVD with pictures from the past year for all the parents. It's a tear jerker...but oh, so sweet!

Andrew is on vacation this week and is keeping us busy! We hope to do a few things around the house...we'll see!

Mother's Day

I had an interesting Mother's day. It started out bad. I couldn't wake up. I had been up until 2am making a cake for Jonah.

And then, everything I touched seemed to break, spill, crack, and just not work!

I didn't make it to church like I wanted.

And then we went to eat dinner at my aunt's house. And the day got better...after I forgot something half way there and came back to get it!

Noah made me a lot of cute things at school. He wrote a poem. My favorite part was that I weigh 50lbs!

He planted me a flower. The poem that was attached to it made me cry!

Here it is:

This isn't just an empty cup.

We spent time with family outside. You couldn't ask for a prettier day! It was nice, almost no humidity and sunny. We had nice shade and enjoyed a bar-b-que lunch. Andrew had to work, but I would rather him be off for Noah's year end program tomorrow. The best part about the day was being with my mom and my Granny!

Last Week

Last week was a busy week!

It was my last official week of keeping Brendan. I will miss that little guy!

I went on a field trip to the zoo with Noah's class. It was as much fun as a barrel of monkeys. Ha Ha!

Andrew had 3, yes 3 softball games last week! And Noah had practice. I think we should camp out at the ball field!

Looking forward to the last few weeks of school. A lot of stuff going on! It should be so much fun!

Minor Leagues

Noah got a ticket to a minor league ball game in town for reading for 30 minutes a week for a month.

He got to have a special night with Daddy and Mommy. He didn't have to "share" us!

And we got to see fireworks after the game.

Am I the only adult who enjoys the shows on the Disney Channel? I love Sunny with a Chance (where I came up with the title) and the new one, Good Luck Charlie. Cute shows!

I am probably a little too excited that I won $50 in Gift Certificates to a local seafood restaurant! I love their food! And free never hurts!

I am loving the weather and spending time outdoors. Ready to fire up the grill and cook some meat!

I cleaned out my coat closet! I am so ready to start getting rid of stuff and getting this place ready to sell next year!

Trying to decide between laminate wood flooring or tile in the dining area. What do you think?

Also trying to figure out what type of carpet to get when we get ready to replace this ~~nasty~~ really well used carpet!

See that vacuum cleaner? That is my new best friend. I love her so!

Glad the weekend is here! And we only have 4 more weeks of school! So ready for some freedom from the schedules!

Noah's first practice...and our mishap!

Noah had his first t ball practice last night. He did very well. He is in another instructional league but we switched from Little League to Dixie Youth.

And of course, because I was trying to get everyone ready, make sure they had drinks and snacks, and all the usual mom stuff, something got left behind. Something they had drilled into our brains at the first meeting...

They have to have a GLOVE!

Of course I know that...

But Andrew had been gone all week to do some training, and like I said I was doing all that mom stuff...

Andrew came back, (he's only an hour away) for Noah's practice and he had a softball game last night. He went all the way back home to get Noah's glove. But then another parent graciously offered Noah their extra glove...

I felt bad that he had went all the way to get the glove. But by the time they needed their gloves and we were offered the extra one, he was already home.

I think we will be getting an extra glove to keep in the car!!

I get fed up with life! Right now I have so much I want to say...but can't! It stinks! Just say a prayer for our family and some family situations! I've decided He is the only one that can help in this department!

In other news:

Last week I took Noah to the doctor. He had a low grade fever and said he didn't feel good. Turns out he had a ear infection in both ears!

So today I took Abbi. She had a fever the last 2 nights and didn't sleep well, which is very unusual for her. Guess what? She has an ear infection in both ears! My children seem to get ear infections a lot!

And I wouldn't be surprised if I have to take Jonah before the end of the week. He has started with a little runny nose...it never ends!

And speaking of Jonah, I love that boy, but good grief! He is my strong willed child!

I had to call poison control for the first time last week. He loves his gummy vitamins and while I went to the bathroom, he decided he needed more than what Mommy had given him and he got a stool and ate about half the bottle. I freaked, but no harm done. They don't have iron so he should be okay according to the male on the other side of the phone. But he can't have his beloved vitamins for 25 days!

And I know this is from way out of left field, but did any one else love the fact that Phil won the Master's again? I always pull for him and I'm so glad he won!

I have been here and there. I have some pictures to upload to the computer...just haven't taken the time to do it.

We have spring break next week and trying to figure out what to do or where to go. Our town gets busy due to a major golf tournament going on...

We won't be going out of town, so it may just be lots of trips to the park!

The weather has been beautiful. I have not! I got mad at Noah today. He was taking forever to get ready so I picked up the phone, acted like I dialed and talked to the "police" on the other end. I told them to come get my child because he won't listen to me. He didn't like that at all. Then, of course I felt guilty. But he got ready for school in a hurry!

On another note, has anyone noticed how dark the colors are for spring fashion? Or maybe I'm shopping at the wrong stores...?

Well, nap time appears to be over, after only 45 minutes! I need more time than that to unwind form the morning!

Well...I guess we have caught a stomach bug or something here! The boys act fine, just will throw up every other day! I don't know what is going with them, but I will say, I am SICK of cleaning up puke and poop!

Hey! I am still here!

I went to the doctor on Wednesday and found out I had tonsillitis and a sinus infection. She gave me an antibiotic and a steroid and today I fell much better!

Although last night Noah started with what seems to be a stomach bug that has been ravaging our area! I pray that no one else gets it!

My mom kept Jonah last night, because Noah was supposed to go to a birthday party for a classmate this morning. Obviously, we didn't go! Poor thing, he didn't understand why he couldn't go! He feels fine, just can't seem to keep anything down!

So while Abbi is napping and Noah is playing the Wii and watching his favorite show, Phineas and Ferb, I am going to work on our budget, our menu plan, and grocery list!

My new toy

Meet my new friend. So far I love him. I am still learning how to use him, but we are getting along great. I saved up money from babysitting and bought him. It was like love at first sight. On my side anyway! I really want a DSLR camera, but with my record, (I've had a quite a few cameras broken while in my possession!) I figured I should start on the with this and see how I do with it!

Maybe in year or two I can get a DSLR......

I am here, but don't feel like I am here! I got hit with a cold that is kicking my behind!

All 3 of my children have been to the doctor and gotten antibiotics for ear infections in the last 3 weeks. I thought I had avoided it, but last night I started with some coughing and my throat hurting, and this morning woke up with hardly a voice! Not great when I have a 2 year old and 2 ones year olds! But maybe it will a calm day...

Speaking of calm, Jonah has chilled a little bit in the 2 year old attitude department. And I mean a little! I got a new book, Have a New Kid by Friday, by Dr. Kevin Leman. I ordered it from MOPS and so far the tips in it are helping. It is really about the parents changing their ways of doing stuff, but I have learned a lot form it. So far, as long as I am consistent, it is helping! So maybe it should be called, be a new parent by Friday, but that would make people not want to read it!

We received a nice gift down here in the south...

We had snow for the first time that I can remember in 8 years!

And it was a lot of snow...

About 6-8 inches in some places.

I will post my menu later today. I haven't taken time to plan out my menu for this week! I am planning on cleaning out the pantry and freezer so hopefully I won't spend much this week!

I am now in clean up/de-clutter mode. We have finally decided to get our house ready to sell!!!!!

We have so much to do to get ready to even to able call to get someone out to be able to start the process, and I have a lot to get ride of. I have decided to actually participate in a consignment sale at a local church this year. I helped in the fall and I loved it! So this spring I am actually going to put some clothes and some other items in the sale. This is a great way to get rid of some of the clutter and make a little money too!

I have to get busy...I started cleaning the pantry out and I need to finish so I can plan my meals for this week and get done before the babes wake up!

Lazy

I need help!

I need to run a more organized home. I have stuff everyWHERE!

I like to blame it on the fact that we are a family of 5 living in a 2 bedroom, 1100 sq. foot town house.

But, really, it is because I am a lazy, sloppy, house keeper. And I have 3 kids 5 and under. And I keep 3 others...

I am really not lazy, but there is always something that I would rather do than housework. Who doesn't have that problem?

I have been trying to follow the FlyLady. At first I was doing good, but after a ~~week~~ while, I would get distracted. It was hard to follow all of her emails. But I realized I was good at cleaning, but not at maintaining the clean! I use boxes to keep the toys picked up and I try to straighten up each night before I go bed. I am going to try to follow her again and start at the beginning. The first step is to shine my sink.

So I will and do that now, but...

Menu Plan Monday 2-1-10

I can not believe we are already a month into 2010! My plan went well last week. I only strayed two days, one when I was having a completly lazy day on Saturday. I caved to the craving of Chinese Food! I will blame on the History Channel. They had a show about Chinese food and it made me want some! And then on yesterday I decided that I wanted some chicken and dumplings since my mom was making some for their church dinner!

Yeah! Andrew started at his new "job" on Saturday so he is closer to home! I may make a few more complicated recipes this week. It just depends on how my day goes!

I was planning on taking pictures but between me and one of my children, my camera is broken! I left it where little hands could get it, so until I get a new one or get this one repaired, I will have some boring posts with no pictures! I like pictures in my posts, so I may have to go borrow some!

We love cold cereal at our house. It is a great option for breakfast. And for dinner sometimes. In fact, I sometimes eat a bowl at night for my snack. My kids love dry cereal as a snack.

Thanks to MyBlogSpark and General Mills, we were given the opportunity to try a few boxes of General Mills. My coupons came and I have been very anxious to use them. The first box that I bought was Cheerios. I love Cheerios and my daughter loves to eat them as a snack while Mama is cooking dinner.

I am looking forward to getting more General Mills cereals for our family to enjoy! We love all Chex and Kix!

when God is going to show up!

Yesterday Andrew was told he would be promoted! This is an answer to a LONG awaited prayer, and not just by me!

He will be closer to home and the extra money won't hurt either!

He has been working an hour away for the last five months and will now be only be about 15-20 minutes away from home. He is excited about this move. He told me last night that except for the night that he closes, he should be home by 5:30. It really means a lot to him to be home to eat dinner with the family and do some family nights. Noah has been advocating Family Movie Night and Family Game Night, so now we can plan them during the week instead of the weekend.

I think that Andrew is finally getting to the point that he really wants to be more family ordinated. It is something we have fought disagreed about in the past. He hates missing out on so much of the kids lives. I think he is realizing that they are getting older and time doesn't stop for anyone.

We thank God for this! Jesus you are awesome and you are an on time God!

Not Me Monday 1-4-10

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did NOT laugh like a hyena and immediately go to update my Facebook status when Noah asked potty training Jonah, "did you pee on me?" to which Jonah replied, "No, Not yet!"

I did NOT almost go off the road while driving with the kids and sort of served a little to which the boys replied, "Do it again Mom!"

I did NOT feel a sense of pride for packing my husband's lunch everyday last week for him to take to work. And I did NOT feel bad for getting upset with him for eating "out" a little too much in December!!

And I most certainly did NOT do anything special for Abbi's first birthday. After all she only turns one once...we did NOT have some cupcakes at my mom's on New Year's Eve and took a few pictures in her birthday girl onesie. Poor baby is stuck in the middle of Christmas and New Year's and my birthday!

And I did NOT turn 32, good Lord, 32! on this past Friday...nope NOT me!

Well, 2009 is gone, and 2010 is here...what will it bring?

I have some resolutions for the new year. I wasn't going to make any since they are usually forgotten some how. But I didn't really make any last year so this year I am.

1. Start my day off right...with God.

2. To have a grocery budget of $50 a week.

3. To lose 50 lbs this year. (only about 4 lbs. a month, 1 lb a week. I think I can do it!)

4. To truly enjoy my kids...spend a lot more quality time with them.

5. To keep my house a haven. My husband deserves it, as do I!

6. To stick to our budget. We have had a hard time adjusting to it, but it is my goal to do it!!!

7. To update my blog a minimum of 3 times a week....been a little slack this past year!

8. To enjoy my life...turn it over to God. Which is where it really belongs!

9. To have my sink shiny every day, in the FlyLady way!

10. To be more organized.

They there are. 10 resolutions for 2010. Written down so I won't forget. And hopefully make me more accountable for them!

This year has flown by. And I have an amazing way for it to end. Today is my only daughters first birthday. She has been a delight from the beginning. Always smiling, laughing, and trying to figure out what to get into next. She has definitely benefited from being the 3rd...and the fact that she is the only grand daughter on my side! I have mellowed some through the years, since my Noah was born. She is so sweet. She is going to be a little chatter box from the way she already "talks" to me. I cannot imagine our family with out her!

Our Advent Activities

I have been wanting to do an Advent type of activties for our family for a while. This year I just sat down and did it! It is hard to think of something for all of the kids to do, but I think what I have planned will work. I just want the kids to know that Christmas is about more that just Santa! Here are a few of the things we will be doing this year.

*Hang wreath on the door and make a paper chain to count down to Christmas Day

*Write a letter to Santa and deliver it to Macy's

*Write letters to Clyde who is overseas and to my brother who is in the Air Force in CA.

*Hang up our stockings

*Go to our Christmas Parade (Our's passes right by our neighborhood!)

*Make mini ginger bread houses (out of graham crackers)

*Make Christmas shortbread

*Make Christmas trees (out of a sugar cone and green icing)

*Read the legend of the candy cane and have some

*Address Christmas card and drink egg nog

*Go shopping for teacher gifts and wrap them

*Make salt dough ornaments to give as gifts to neighbors

*Find pine cones and make bird seed feeders

*Have hot chocolate, with whipped cream

*Have an indoor picnic

*Make gift for the grandparents (it's a surprise or I'll tell what it is!)

*Go to some local events: hayride through Life of Christ, looking at Christmas lights, some church events.

It is Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for this year!

My Jesus, I couldn't live a day with out his grace and mercy!

My Husband, I love him in a way that I can not explain. Thankful that he puts up with me!

My children, Noah, Jonah, and Abbi. They make each day new and exciting!

My parents, Thankful for everything they do for me and the unconditional love they have for their children, and especially for my children!

My family, no family is perfect, but I love mine!

Here are some other things I am thankful for!

My coffee, sweet tea, a Christian radio station, loving friends-far and near, our freedom, forgiveness to others and others forgiveness of me!, Granny, my MIL, my wonderful Father in Law, that my kids are healthy and happy, that I am able to stay home with them; not better job in the world, for my husbands job, for the internet-i love being able to go to the computer and look up a recipe, or show my son what type of spider he found in the back yard!, chocolate, church, a hardworking husband, the ability to be able to write this-especially since the stroke, but thank goodness for spell check!, the smell of a turkey in the oven, the anticipation of getting together with family for a great meal, for music, for the basics of life, for everything I have. I am so Thankful!

Andrew and I just completed Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. We got a diploma and everything! Andrew wasn't able to attend about 4 classes with me because right after we started the class they transferred him to a store an hour away, and moved everyone around because of a new store opening. He worked so much in the last couple of months I forgot what he looked like!

I want to thank my brother and SIL for sending us to this class. It has made a huge difference in us now knowing where our money is going instead of us wondering where it went!

I strongly suggest you find a FPU in your town and GO! It will make a huge difference in your life!

I have the happiest baby ever...and no you can't argue that yours is! Just kidding!

Abbi has been the sweetest thing since the day she was born. She pretty much slept all night...in her bed, from the get go.

She was the easiest nurser; fast and done in 15 minutes and not hungry again until 4 hours later. I miss that! I pretty much dried up when she was 7 months and we have been doing formula since then.

She never cries unless she isn't feeling well or is so tired she doesn't know what else to do!

She is the funniest thing. And she already has a great attention span. She can sit and play with the magnets on the fridge forever.

And she loves her doll. She was playing peek a boo with it earlier by covering the dolls face with a sock that she found on the floor.

She is so smart...and only 10 months old. I have a hard time believing that she is already 10 months and a hard time believing that she hasn't always been a part of our family! She is such a joy!

I never would have thought that I would write about this but it so funny...at least to me!

My 5 year old still needs help when he wipes after a number 2. Sometimes there is a little blood so I will tell him he needs some juice to help with that...

My favorite time of the month is here, and as a Mom I never get privacy...even in the bathroom. So I was using the bathroom and Noah walks in and saw some blood in the toilet as I got up. He looked at me and said "MOM, you need some juice!"

Well...I thought it was funny!

A few weeks ago I was sent an email to try Boiron products just in time for cold and flu season. I said yes, being that I have decided against the H1N1 flu vaccine. I did get my little's the flu shot, but it just seems that the H1N1 came out so fast and I don't know enough about it!

I received Chestal which is a cough syrup made with honey, oscillococcimun which is to reduce the duration and severity of flu-like symptoms, and Coldcalm, which says it temporarily relieves cold symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion and minor sore throat.

The thing that I like best about these products is that they are all natural products! No more worrying if I am giving my kids too much of this, and too much of that! I don't know what is up with Blogger, but it won't let me cut and paste these pictures like I want to! Okay, now that I am done pitching my little fit...

I went with Noah's class on a field trip to a pumpkin patch. It is not as fancy as some other's that I have seen but we had fun. They had a hay maze, craft time, story time, got to pick a pumpkin, made apple cider in a press, had hot dogs for lunch, then got to roast marshmallows. We went on a hayride and it was fun! It was chilly that day and the patch was at the lake, so there was a cold breeze all day. But I am so glad I got to go!

I have not been blogging much...obviously! I really want to...I'm just not sure what to say. I guess I have been a rut. We are trying to get our "house" fixed up to sell. I say "house" because it is a little two bedroom townhouse. Andrew and I bought it about 3 months before we got married. Andrew stayed here and I moved in when we got married. I loved it then...hate it now! Well, hate is a strong word, I guess I should say we have majorly out-growned the house. I have all 3 kids in one bedroom now. It's okay, because the only thing they really do is sleep it the bedroom. The rest of the time they want to be out in the living room with us.

About 3 weeks ago I got rid of so much stuff! I had our van packed out and took it all to the Goodwill, just to get rid of it. I should have had a yard sale, per Dave Ramsey, but I just wanted it gone! We have NO room to store anything and it was driving me crazy! I still have some work to do...we need to have our roof looked at, and we really need to replace the carpet. Although we don't want to do that with the kids here! That is why it looks the way does. Spotted from "dippy cups!"

In other news, I went with Noah's class to a pumpkin patch on Monday. That was fun. We enjoyed a hayride, story time, a craft, and got to pick a pumpkin. Then we had lunch. It was fun and I'm glad I got to go.

I am really going to try to blog more often. It is the only way I can really keep up with what is new with my children for me to have later in life.

Where have I been? I was feeling yucky for a few weeks. I had a nasty cold and was talking like Barry White for a while! I am feeling better now and so grateful that none of the children seem to have gotten whatever it was that I had!

Today was a busy day for us. We had 2 birthday parties to go to. The boys had fun and got worn out! Jonah is already asleep...hopefully for the night.

Andrew is going okay in school. Not as well as I hoped but considering how long he has been out...he is doing well!

And I have to talk about these! I won a sample pack of Pirates Booty snack foods from 24/7 Moms. My boys love them. They are all natural and I feel safe giving them to them, even to Abbi! We haven't found a flavor we don't like!

Where is God?

My kids were watching Charlotte's Web the other day. I sat there watching with them and the thought came to my mind...why is everyone so impressed with Wilber (the pig)? I mean, sure he is cute, but isn't the really amazing thing the spider?

This thought stuck with me for a while and the more I thought about it the more it made sence to me! Charlotte, the spider, is kind of like Jesus. She is working behind the scenes making Wilber out to be the mircilous pig everyone thinks that he is. She never asks for thanks and keeps on doing her "work" to conform Wilber into this great pig. In the end Wilber is spared from becoming the Christmas ham and she dies.

It makes me think of an old song, What a friend we have in Jesus. Here are the lyrics:

What do you think? Am I way off base here or what? I want Jesus to make me a better person. Maybe he is, quietly working behind the scenes. Never asking for thanks, but I owe him all I have and ever will have. Kind of like Wilber, taking Charlotte's egg sack and taking care of it for her until her children go to spread out. Maybe I need to stop and take the time to spread the joy of Jesus and what He has done for me. He is the friend of all friends!

Thank you Lord Jesus for ALL that I have. It may not seem like much to anyone else, but to me it is immeasureable what you have done for me!

Andrew has started school. I think he didn't remember how pressing a time college can be! He already has so much homework! And the price of books is absolutely ridiculous!

Noah is doing really well in school. I was worried how he would adjust but he seems to be doing great!

Jonah is still working on potty training! He did really good today with no accidents all day!

Abbi is growing so much! I can not believe she will be 8 months on the 30th of this month! She is all go, but so sweet. She is always laughing and smiling.

Andrew found out today that they are transferring him to a new store. Of course, when you things are looking like they are going to work out, they never do! He is starting school next week and had everything worked out with his current boss as far as days off. His new "boss" doesn't want to let him the 2 days that he needs off, off. He says it isn't fair to the other employees. Andrew needs the 2 slowest days of the week off, not any weekend days, so we don't see what the problem is. I guess we will find out on Tuesday when he starts at the other store.

We have started attending Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, thanks my brother and sister-in-law. We are working on baby step 1 which is to have an Emergency Fund of $1000.00. We have no idea how we are going to do it, but I may (gulp) have to get a part time job. This is going to kill me. Not literally, but I have been home for 3 years and the little's have never stayed with anyone else other than the times I have been in the hospital. I don't want to put them in daycare, because then what would be the point of working? I just have to pray, a lot, about the situation. I figure if it is what is supposed to be, it will work out. We shall see. Please pray for our family and the situation, to hear what Jesus wants us to do and to have the faith to do it!

I have not done this in a while, but what a better time to start again!

I did not hate to take my son to his first day of Kindergarten this past week! I did not get out of his classroom just in time to cry like a baby. I can not believe my baby is in school!

I was not so completely zoned out by the new school routine that I did not totally forgot all about my Bible Study this week. And I did not think about it until that evening when I went to get my Bible to read...so not like me!

I did not get Noah to school on time or early everyday this first week. I do not hope to continue this through out the school year!

I am not proud of Jonah for finally catching on this potty training thing!

Well, I made it through the first day of school for my oldest child. He didn't want to go to bed on Sunday night, which made for a rough morning. He woke up in a bad mood! But he got out of it as soon as we walked into the school! Here are pictures of his first day!

I actually didn't cry until I told him bye and left his room! I think for me that is an accomplishment! I had people praying for me and I can tell. I was at peace as we left and he had a great day! I can't wait to hear about today!

I am not crying here! The sun was in our eyes!

I have been on a little computer hiatus for a few days. We decided to take a little mini-vacation. Andrew's mom has a time share near Helen GA. They have free putt putt and a pool so it was a little like going to the beach...I can think that anyway! My parents went with us. We had a good time. Andrew and my dad got to play golf at the "resort" golf course. Andrew actually played well.

We just had a fun family filled vacation. We really wanted to take Noah somewhere before school starts and life changes for us all in so many ways. I am so not ready for this time to be here. I have known it was coming since the day I had Noah but I am still not ready to send my first baby off to school. We went to open house on Thursday night and met his teacher. I almost cried then, but I held it in! I know I will be a blubbering fool on Monday! But I know I can't let Noah see me that way! I want him to enjoy it and think of it as an adventure! I don't know what will be harder...Noah going to Kindergarten or Abbi!

I love the quote that goes: you carry your child for 9 months and they carry your hearts for the rest of your life. It is so true. And how your child is your heart walking outside of your body. I now know how true those words are. I admit I am very anxious and regretting that the time has come. Monday morning I will have a Kindergartner and I will live to tell it all...through my tears.

I love my family! We have been on the go lately and when we are not going we are enjoying time at home. I have started a Bible study with some of the MOPS girls. It has been excellent. I missed this past week because everyone, including Andrew, slept late! This never happens because usually one of the children wake up early, but not this past week! It was nice to sleep in a little, but not good that Andrew was late for work!

I only have 2 weeks to enjoy time with Noah before school starts. I still can not believe I will have a Kindergartner! I am feeling a little more at peace now. I know it will be good for him and he will have so much fun! I was worried that him never being in pre school or preK he may feel out of place, but watching him...I don't think he will ever feel that way!

We are still working on potty training with Jonah. If he would just understand that you have to get up and go the bathroom when he need to go, we would be doing great!

Abbi has continued with her milestones! She finally pulled up in the crib this week and is so determined to pull up on anything standing still!

I have been a bad blogger lately! I have not taken time to write...busy living life! Our world is about to change when Noah starts school, so I have been enjoying the end of summer with the kids!

Abbi had her 6 month check-up. That bugger weights 18.6 lbs! No wonder my arm feels like it is going to fall off after holding her for a while. She is "off the charts" in length-28 inches!

She has also starting crawling, sitting up by herself, and cut 2 teeth this past week. She is growing up too fast for me!

We are working on potty training Jonah. It is going okay as long I keep after him to go potty. Sometimes I have to set the timer to remind me to take him to the bathroom. He is finally getting to the point where he will go by himself...sometimes!

Noah is Noah. Not much as far as milestones go right now. I am getting more and more ~~upset~~ excited that he is starting Kindergarten in 4 weeks! I just can't believe my baby is starting school!

It has been 5 weeks since I had the hernia surgery. I am doing great and the doctor gave me the all clear to exercise, slow at first, of course. Now I'm ready to shred this extra weight I've been carrying around the last, oh, 8 years! I'll let you know how that goes!

I promise to get around to posting a lot more...I need to so I don't forget our everyday stuff!

I am up early today without the kids...for a few minutes anyway! Sometimes it is so nice to get up and have a few minutes to myself before the day starts. Noah is spending the night with Pa and Ma so I just have the Little's today.

We had a great bible study at church last night. It was about fear. If we have Faith we can not have fear. One of the ladies but it in perspective by saying this. A women is on a plane going to visit her sister. She told the person sitting next to her regardless of what happens she will have a good trip. She will either land and get to see her sister, or if the plane crashes she will get to see her Savior. I had never thought about it, but it makes so much sense. We live in so much fear of what is going to happen next instead of taking it to God in prayer. It really made me think.

I am feeling so much better after my surgery. I am grateful for my mom, mother in law and my cousin Amy. They kept the boys for 2 whole weeks! Abbi and I had some time to bond. It was nice just having some time with her. She is so alive now, for lack of a better word! She is getting ready to crawl. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks! And she is doing some type of Army belly crawl! She is growing up so fast, but I am taking it all in. Just knowing that I will never have this baby stage again...makes me want to cry! But I am enjoying every minute! Some MOPS moms have brought dinner for us this week. I feel so special...and I haven't even attended a meeting yet! I did go to a Mom's night out and a play date just trying to get to know some people before the meetings start.

In other news...Jonah is potty training! He is great with peeing in the potty, but doing number 2 is another story! We will get there eventually! He does not want to wear diapers, but wants to wear Noah's big boy undies. He has some training pants which are better for when he has an accident (thicker so it doesn't go all over the floor) but he prefers Noah's Wiggle's undies! He is so funny and I am enjoying this stage with him. It is so hard sometimes staying consistent with the discipline but I learned from Noah to not give in, and it is working. He is much better behaved when I take the time to pay attention to him and really enforce the positive that he does! He loves it when I say good job! When I do he says high five and hold his little hand up for his high five. He still has his moments but who doesn't! I still do!

Noah is such a big boy. He was so cute at Andrew's last softball game...which they won! 2 in a row. Whoo hoo! Anyway, he and his cousin Caleb were playing "baseball" and I looked over there and they had a whole team playing. He never meets a stranger...as far as kids go. When we go to park he always has a new friend to tell me all about. He finds out all about them! I cannot believe that he will starting school in just over a month!

Andrew and I are going to try to go on a "date" tonight. I got a coupon in my email from TGI Fridays for a buy one entree and get one free. If you haven't yet go sign up at their website for their "Give me more stripes" program! And then we want to go see Transformers...so we will see if it works out! Hopefully will. We have not been out together in a while!

Let me just start off by saying I can not believe that I am now the parent of a 5 year old! Time flies when you're having fun! Today is Noah's birthday. I love this child more than he will ever know...at least until he has his own one day. He is so smart and so sweet. When I came home the other day after having my surgery he was just standing next to the bed and holding my hand. At one point he cried worried about me. I had to reassure him that I was fine and just like when I had Jonah and Abbi in a few weeks I would be fine!

I love you so much Noah! Happy Birthday to my Big Boy!

The day has come...

The day is here. I go in tomorrow for my hernia surgery. I am a little nervous as I suppose you would be with any surgery, but also know everything will be fine. I guess after 3 c-sections the word surgery doesn't really scare me! The hard part for me will be while I am recovering and not being able to do stuff with my children. They will be spread out for few days and I know they will be having fun...it's just not being able to do my "job" as a wife and mother for a couple of weeks that bothers me!

Please pray for my uncle Edward. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday with a dangerously low hemoglobin level. He is going to have tests done today to try to figure out why.

Please pray also that my family stays safe and sound while I am out of it for a few weeks, for our financial situation, and for the mentality of those that are helping out with our children! I know God will provide our needs but a little prayer never hurt! God bless you and when I am able to I will be back!
